Form FW-001 is the Request to Waive Court Fees. California courts can waive filing and other court fees for people who receive certain public benefits, whose household income is at or below the guideline, or who cannot pay for the common necessities of life and also pay court fees.
Who usually qualifies
- You receive benefits such as Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKs, SSI/SSP, GA/GR, IHSS, or certain others.
- Your gross monthly household income is at or under the published guideline for your household size.
- You can show that paying court fees would prevent you from paying for basic necessities.
What we prepare
- FW-001 Request to Waive Court Fees, and FW-003 Order on Court Fee Waiver for the judge to sign.
- FW-002 additional-information attachment when the court needs more detail.
- Organization of the benefit or income documentation you provide.
What we do NOT do
Imverica is a registered California Legal Document Assistant — not a law firm. We complete the request from the income and benefit information you provide, at your direction. We do not decide whether you qualify, give legal advice, or represent you — the court decides the waiver. For advice we maintain referrals to licensed attorneys.
Authority: California Government Code §68630 et seq. (fee waivers); California Rules of Court 3.50–3.58. Document preparation only — not legal advice.
